Prayers For The Month of November

Happy November! I know I have been gone for a while. School has been so hectic this semester, but I have still been praying for you all and I am so happy God has used me to touch so many people out there to keep them encouraged while they are in they waiting period! This year has gone by so quickly....we are in November already and next month it will be Christmas time. For this month God has laid on my heart that we should pray for three things: 1) A hunger, thirst and desire for the things of God!  " As the deer  pants for streams of water,  so my soul pants  for you, my God. " Psalms 42:1 (NIV) 2) To trust in Him fully, surrendering all to Him, withholding nothing!  " Trust in the  Lord  with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding.  In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths." Proverbs 3:5-6 (KJV) 3) To increase our faith! " But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God mus

Prayers For The Month of August

Happy August! We have officially gotten through seven months of the year of 2014 and for this we give God thanks and all the praise and glory! We are nearing the end of summer and some of us are going back to school, taking our vacations before going back to work. Also we have goals we have set at the beginning of the year that we are still trying to achieve before the year is out. So for this month I want us to pray for a few things. 1) Pray for Focus! Whatever goal you have set before you know that, Philippians 4:13 says, "I can do all things through Christ which strengthens me."  2) Pray that God will show you His love for you! Romans 5:8 says, "B ut God shows his love for us in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us." There is not a lover like God, and no one will ever love you as much as He loves you! 3) Pray for Patience to wait on whatever you have asked God for. James 1:2-4 (KJV) says, " My brethren, count it all joy when ye fa

Are You A Modern Day Hagar?

Hey ladies, I am sorry I haven’t written in a while, I just have a lot going on right now. But God had me pondering this piece for a couple months now and I am glad I finally sat down to write it and encourage you. Growing up in church, the preacher or older sisters and brothers in Christ would always tell me that every question that you want answered can be found in the Bible. When I continuously heard this I always wondered if it were really true, all the answers to my questions could be found in this one book, The Bible. We tend to have problems and think that God doesn’t understand, but He does. Hebrews 4:15 (NIV) says, “ For we do not have a high priest who is unable to empathise with our weaknesses, but we have one who has been tempted in every way, just as we are--yet he did not sin.” So Christ has been tempted in all ways and so He can relate to anything we may be going through and the reading the story of Hagar I found that every answer can be found in the Bible…. In t

Prayers For The Month of July

Happy July ladies! We have to give thanks to God, we have made it through half of the year of 2014! In this month ladies, I know the ongoing engagement and wedding frenzy continues…We just have to continue to trust God and wait on Him! So for the month of July ladies I want you to pray for a few things. 1) Pray for Patience to wait on whatever you have asked God for. James 1:2-4 (KJV) says, " My brethren, count it all joy when ye fall into divers temptations;   Knowing this, that the trying of your faith worketh patience.   But let patience have her perfect work, that ye may be perfect and entire, wanting nothing." 2) Pray that you will continue to trust God and stand on His promises. For Proverbs 3:5-6 (KJV) says, " Trust in the   Lord   with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding.  In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths." 3) Pray for a heart like Christ. Pray that you could have a heart that is full of comp

Prayers for the Month of June

Happy June ladies! We are at the midpoint of the year! Thank God for sparing our lives to make it this far! We know that prayer is the way that we communicate with God and we know that prayer changes things! Mark 11:24 (NIV) says, " Therefore I tell you, whatever you ask for in prayer, believe that you have received it, and it will be yours." So there are a few things the spirit has laid on my heart that I think we should pray on this month! 1) Pray against the spirit of jealousy and envy. Lately there has been so many of my friends and colleagues getting engaged and married and here I am still single, and waiting and sometimes you may envy their relationships. Remember that it will happen in God's time and not ours! Solomon said in Proverbs 14:30 (KJV), " A tranquil heart gives life to the flesh, but envy makes the bones rot." So let's preserve our bones and be happy for our friends and colleagues as they embark on important journeys knowing that Go

Do Christian Women Dress Modestly?

Hello to all, I greet you all in the mighty and saving name of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. I know I have been away for a while, but I am back. It has been an exhausting semester, but by the grace of God I got through it all. All glory and honor goes to Him.         You may ask, “Why is she dealing with modesty again?” The only answer that I have to give is that the Holy Spirit has been constantly pressing it on my heart. I wanted to write about something else, but I couldn’t. Every time that I have sat to my laptop to start the topic that I have wanted to, nothing has came. When the Lord brought this into my spirit, a piece of fear creped in me, fear of speaking out, fear of saying what He wants me to say, but the Holy Spirit reminded my of 2 Timothy 1:7 (KJV) which says, “For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind.” I am not going to fear, but I am going to say what God has given me.

Prayers for the Month of April

Happy April ladies! We are officially in the month where we commemorate the Lord's death and resurrection. It is so important to reflect on such an historic event because without Christ dying for our sins and loving us so much we would not have the abundant life, the many blessings and access to Him because of this event. For this month I want us not to only reflect on Christ's death and resurrection, but to pray for these three things: 1) Pray that we will learn to trust God and give EVERYTHING, and not somethings over to Him. For me it was one of the hardest things to do in my walk with God because it is hard to give over all control and not know what is going to happen ahead. But when we decide to accept Him into our lives we must submit to His will, His way and the plans He has for our lives and in order to grow and increase our faith in Him we have to trust Him more.  “Therefore I tell you, do not worry  about your life, what you will eat or drink; or about your body, wh

Are You Like Sarah?

Good morning to all, I am sorry I have been away for a while, but I am back. School has truly been a balancing act this year. However, I have still been busy studying and growing in Christ along with balancing family, school and friends. At the beginning of the year I decided to start studying women of the Bible and it has been a truly life changing experience to really look into the lives of these women and see myself. The first woman I want to talk about is Sarah.             Sarah is one of the most beautiful women in the Bible and, her name means, “Chieftainness” or “Princess”.   Every time I reflect on the story of Sarah I remember her precisely as the wife of Abraham who could not wait on God and took matters into her own hands, a strong willed woman. Then after creating the problem, she treated Hagar, her handmaid, horribly. One could term Sarah as a “diva.” Beautiful, married to such a rich, intelligent and most important a faithful man of God. Sarah had all that she could as
