Why Modesty Is Important To Me As A Woman of God? (Physical Modesty) (Part VI)

Hey ladies I know I have been away for a while, but I am going to pick up right where I left off. Don't you think the modestly dressed women above are sexy? I think so, and not much skin was revealed to accomplish it. Women tend to say they dress a certain way to feel sexy, but you don't have to show the world your body and dress scantily to do so. In my last post a few months back I left you with this question, do you wear a bikini to the beach and if so why?
Let me first answer the question, I do not wear a bikini to the beach because I feel that its just underwear made with a different material. I wear a one piece or tankini with shorts. Usually when I ask this question to women they usually say yeah why not, then I precede with the question, would you wear your underwear to the beach? They then answer no and I ask isn’t it the same thing just made with a different material? In addition, I also ask, what’s so different between the two? No one could ever seem to answer these two questions.
The reason why is because society has classed the bikini as an appropriate piece of clothing. Do I think its appropriate for women of God? No I personally don’t, however I never judge women of God who do wear them. These are just my personal beliefs and its what the Holy Spirit has convicted me not to wear.  We must remember I Corinithians 6:19-20 (KJV) says, “Do you not know that your bodies are temples of the Holy Spirit, who is in you, whom you have received from God? You are not your own; you were bought at a price. Therefore honor God with your bodies.” I know that my body is the temple of God and I try to always honor God with my body by dressing modestly. Women tend to put all of the blame on men that lust after them, but in truth if you are dressing distastefully and with hardly any clothes you too play a part.  Men are visual beings, it’s the way that God created them. We can see this way back from the creation when God created Eve for Adam.
In addition, I Corinthians 7:4 (KJV) says, “The wife does not have authority over her own body but yields it to her husband. In the same way, the husband does not have authority over his own body but yields it to his wife.” I know that my body is not only God’s temple, but it will one day belong to my husband. No man of God wants the world to see all that his wife has to offer. He wants to be the only one to have the privilege to see you in that light. Men of God tend to want their women modestly dressed when out in public, but in private they want them scantily dressed for their eyes only. Give your husband this privilege ladies.
So ladies I don’t believe in wearing the booty shorts, mini skirts, dresses’/blouses revealing all of your cleavage or bikinis. You are suppose to be a reflection of God. As I said in previous posts on modesty, once you have the Holy Spirit He will teach you how to dress and make you feel uncomfortable in clothes you once were. Remember modesty is a part of being a Proverbs 31 Woman! Last but not least remember Romans 12:2 says,  “And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.” So yes modesty in the world today is lacking, but remember you are chosen people and we must be in this world and not if it! Be the woman God has called you to be!

Love you all,
Daughter of the King!

The Modesty Survey I

In doing research for the topic of modesty, I stumbled across this very controversial survey, The Modesty Survey. The Modesty Survey is an anonymous discussion between Christian guys and girls on the topic of modesty. Apparently hundreds of Christian girls contributed to the 148-question survey and over 1,600 Christian guys submitted 150,000+ answers, including 25,000 text responses, over a 20-day period in the year of 2007. Usually you would think this is a dream come true for Christian women to be able to pick a Christian man’s brain on such a controversial issue. Initially in 2007 it was a hit and now the women who had contributed along with other men who had participated in the survey now feel that it was the worst thing that they could have done. After reading the views of both parties, I want to encourage you to read the points of view and form your own personal opinion of the survey. The links posted below are from one of the females and one of the males that took part in con

Prayers For The Month of November

Good morning to all, Sorry I have been away for a while but I am back! I pray that September and October have been good months to you. This is the month of Thanksgiving as many tend to call it. We have so much to give God thanks for. Just being alive is a blessing!  For the month of November I want us to concentrate on corporate prayer. You may ask well what is she talking about? Corporate prayer doesn't need to be a gathering of saints praying together. No, corporate prayer is about you standing in the gap for someone. There are many prophets in the Bible who did this and we can look at the story of Habakkuk. He was one of the minor prophets in the Bible who had no sin, but prayed and begged and pleaded God for mercy, forgiveness and restoration on behalf of his people who were in exile in Babylon.  God dropped in my spirit that we need to take time to prayer for others and not just ourselves. I have been guilty of this as well. So this month let's prayer f

Prayers For The Month of April

Happy April! I am so sorry I have been away for a while, but I am back by the grace of God. School got extremely hectic, but my thoughts and prayers were always with you! It's amazing how the page has received so much views and attention! Thanks for your support! So as we know this is the month that we commemorate the death, burial and resurrection of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ! We think about the love that kept Him on the cross for you and me. So for the month of April I am asking that we pray for three things: 1) Patience so that we can wait on God's timing. " But if we hope for what we do not see, we wait for it with patience."   Romans 8:25 (ESV) 2) The love of God. Christ died just for me and you because of love, let's pray to be His hands extended and show that love each and every day! " But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us. " Romans 5:8 (KJV) 3) A spirit of gratef
