Merry Christmas To All

Hey all, I know I have been away for such a long time, and this semester in school has been the worst so far, but by the grace of God I got through. During this semester, God has taught me so much during my single season that I will share with you in the upcoming new year. I just wanted to take some time out to wish you all a Merry Christmas and remember Jesus is the reason for the season. In the midst of all the gifts and trees, the movies, just remember that God gave us the greatest gift by coming down in flesh and dying for our sins and blessing us with the gift of salvation and eternal life. Oh what love.......I just want to wish you and your families a very Merry Christmas and celebrate the gift God gave to the world and enjoy spending time with your family and friends and showing love! I pray and plead the blood of Jesus over each household that you all would be protected and it would be a peaceful, enjoyable holiday season. Love you all, Raven

Why is Modesty Important to Me As A Woman of God? (Physical Modesty) (Part V)

Greetings to all! I know I have been away for a while, started school again and I have been trying to get back into the swing of things and balance it all, but I am back. Ready to tackle this controversial topic of physical modesty. I want to address the reasons why I dress modestly and what I find to be modest and immodest. This is based on personal opinion and some may not agree, but I just want to get some people thinking……… In the last post I left the question, “ As a woman of God, do you dress modestly?” First and foremost I want to answer this question myself.  I think that as a woman of God I dress quite modestly, my father and brother will say that sometimes my pants are a bit too tight, but that’s the only complaint I have gotten from men that care about my way of dress. I never have my breast, back, or stomach out for the world to see, or wear shorts that are so short you can see all that God has blessed me with. I dress modestly and try to be a good representatio...

Prayer Requests

For the past few weeks I have been receiving prayer requests for certain things and I have been praying but I want us all as believers to join on one accord and pray for these requests. Pray for comfort for those who are brokenhearted, grieving or who are feeling the spirit of loneliness. Let’s pray for God to wrap His loving arms around them and let them feel His presence near and allow His peace to just rest upon them.  Let them keep their minds stayed on Him because the Bible says that those whose minds are stayed on Him will be kept in perfect peace! Pray for healing for those who are sick or who may be awaiting test results, lets pray in the name of Jesus that by His stripes they are healed! Pray for God to reveal His purpose and plan He has for our lives and allow Him to guide our footsteps because the steps of a righteous man are ordered by the Lord. Pray for the spirit of focus/discipline on whichever season God has us in our lives or whatever task He has given us to...

Why Is Modesty Important To Me As A Woman of God? (Physical Modesty) (Part IV)

As I sit and look at the picture above and meditate on what God has placed on my heart. It makes me wonder what Christianity has come to. Everyone is a Christian now days. Yet when you look at their actions and the life that they are living, in no way does it reflect Christ. It seems that in today’s society all you have to do is say that you are a Christian and you are one, but you can go on living life the same way as the sinner in the world. You can get drunk, party, sleep around and do pretty much anything but you are a Christian. However, Matthew 7:20 says, “ Wherefore by their fruits ye shall know them.”  So when someone proclaims Christianity I always look at their actions, the way they carry themselves, how they treat people etc. to see if they are truly a follower of Christ. In the world today how Christians are living there seems to be no standard of holiness.  When you talk to people they tend to say you are judging them. Someone once told me tha...

The Modesty Survey III

  1)     Standards can vary for different occasions. (e.g., a formal spaghetti strap dress at a wedding is more modest than a spaghetti strap top at the movie theater). Age Comments 15 Occasion is the wrong word, setting is a better word. In the living room of your own house, without any guests, sisters could probably wear almost any thing without being immodest, although their actions will still have to be modest. Outside of the home I don't think there should be a difference of standards. 18 I have questions about this. I personally have been bothered by some of the wedding dresses I've seen recently. I think I will encourage my future fiancĂ©e to choose a dress that is beyond reproach, with no possibility of causing someone to stumble. ...
