Prayers for the Month of April

Happy April ladies! We are officially in the month where we commemorate the Lord's death and resurrection. It is so important to reflect on such an historic event because without Christ dying for our sins and loving us so much we would not have the abundant life, the many blessings and access to Him because of this event. For this month I want us not to only reflect on Christ's death and resurrection, but to pray for these three things: 1) Pray that we will learn to trust God and give EVERYTHING, and not somethings over to Him. For me it was one of the hardest things to do in my walk with God because it is hard to give over all control and not know what is going to happen ahead. But when we decide to accept Him into our lives we must submit to His will, His way and the plans He has for our lives and in order to grow and increase our faith in Him we have to trust Him more.  “Therefore I tell you, do not worry  about your life, what you will eat or drink; or about your body, w...

Are You Like Sarah?

Good morning to all, I am sorry I have been away for a while, but I am back. School has truly been a balancing act this year. However, I have still been busy studying and growing in Christ along with balancing family, school and friends. At the beginning of the year I decided to start studying women of the Bible and it has been a truly life changing experience to really look into the lives of these women and see myself. Then after creating the problem, she treated Hagar, her handmaid, horribly. One could term Sarah as a “diva.” Beautiful, married to such a rich, intelligent and most impor...

What To Do While Waiting.....(Spiritual Preparation)

So God says to wait… Wait for the husband, wait for the kids…So many thoughts come to mind, all the lonely Valentine’s Days, having to observe the happiness of all the other couples, and more importantly that feeling of loneliness. So what am I going to do while I wait? In this entry I want to deal with what we can do spiritually while we wait on our husbands. In the last post I emphasized the benefits of waiting on God, the five R’s, Refreshment, Restoration, Revelation, Renewed Strength and Redirection. When I thought about writing this posts, and through prayer and meditation the Holy Spirit laid on my heart the parable of the ten virgins. They all looked the same from their physical appearance, but five were wise, and five were foolish. Five of them were prepared and five were unprepared. The parable of the ten virgins has been heard over and over again. The emphasis is on how we need to be ready as the five wise virgins for the coming of the Lord. But as the Holy Spirit k...
