Engagement & Marriage Fever

Well ladies I don't know about you, but there seems to be some sort of fever going around. Everyone around me seems to be getting engaged and if not engaged married. Here I sit, in my mid twenties, single, a virgin, and it seems like no prospects in sight. Yet every time I log onto Facebook there is some newly engaged couple or someone got married once again or there are pictures of happy couples so in love. Every time I turn on the television its another romantic movie, or television show on…..             The enemy tries each time to make me feel lonely, that I am getting old, and that I will end up alone. At this point I'm asking God why hasn't my time come to love? Why hasn't my time come to have someone to call my own. Lord I've stayed true to my vow to save myself for my husband, and I have been by the grace of God been living my life for You, growing, and walki...

Happy New Year!

I just want to take the time out to wish each and every one of the followers of my blog a Happy New Year! This year I can feel God is going to do great and marvellous things in the lives of single women hungry and on fire for Him. My prayer for you this year is that you would get closer to Him and let go of all the baggage that might be holding you back to go higher in the Lord. Let's thank God for the lessons that we have all learned in 2013 and look toward our future in which He holds.  Let's continue to trust in the plan He has for our lives.  For Jeremiah 29:11 (NIV) says ,  " For I know the plans  I have for you,” declares the  Lord , “plans to prosper  you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future." Wishing you all the best God has for you in this brand new year! Love, Raven

Why is Modesty Important to Me As A Woman of God? (Physical Modesty) (Part V)

Greetings to all! I know I have been away for a while, started school again and I have been trying to get back into the swing of things and balance it all, but I am back. Ready to tackle this controversial topic of physical modesty. I want to address the reasons why I dress modestly and what I find to be modest and immodest. This is based on personal opinion and some may not agree, but I just want to get some people thinking……… In the last post I left the question, “ As a woman of God, do you dress modestly?” First and foremost I want to answer this question myself.  I think that as a woman of God I dress quite modestly, my father and brother will say that sometimes my pants are a bit too tight, but that’s the only complaint I have gotten from men that care about my way of dress. I never have my breast, back, or stomach out for the world to see, or wear shorts that are so short you can see all that God has blessed me with. I dress modestly and try to be a good representatio...

The Modesty Survey II

1)       Girls can dress attractively without being immodest. Age Comments 13 Most namebrand clothing stores make attractive clothing that still covers you. You don't have to show everyone your body for them to think you are attrctive. Besides, the first thing Christian guys notice when looking at girls are their face. 15 YES! My friend looked absolutely beautiful in a modest dress. It was not low cut and it went a little under her knees, and she still looked gorgeous. 16 Amen! Here's the key: When you dress immodestly you are saying "look at my beautiful body" to every one. However when you dress modestly you are saying "I am obeying the LORD and saving my most raw beauty (if you will) for the place God has for it...
