Single, Saved & Waiting....................

Day #6 Dear heavenly Father, I pray that my future husband will love righteousness and hate wickedness, especially the evils of the culture. I pray that he will recognize and avoid wickedness in his own life, and if necessary, take a clear, strong stand against evil. In Jesus' name I pray, amen!  (Prov. 27:12; John 17:15; 1 Cor. 10:12-13)

Hopefully we have all come to terms that we have to wait on God and are content with whatever His will may be for our lives. We know what to do spiritually while we wait for our husbands, pray, focus on God’s promises, devote ourselves in ministry and live in the present and not the future, but what can we do naturally?   In the last post I shared with you all that God laid on my heart in relation to the parable of the ten virgins and how He revealed that yes you are waiting, but in waiting there has to be preparation. Just like the five wise virgins prepared for the coming of the bridegroom by having extra oil in their lamps, we too must prepare spiritually and naturally for the man of God that He wants to bless us with. “The question still remains….why am I still single? Lord why? I am a good Christian woman, I have been living right and being obedient to your word, yet I am still waiting for You to send my prince charming. I look around and everyone is either married, or in a relationship and on the road to marriage. When is my Boaz coming Lord? When will I get married and have children? When Lord when?” Many of you single women out there can relate to the above release of frustration to the Lord, when we feel lonely, someone gets engaged, married or even starts a new relationship, and you are still alone.
