Prayers For The Month of April

Happy April!

I am so sorry I have been away for a while, but I am back by the grace of God. School got extremely hectic, but my thoughts and prayers were always with you! It's amazing how the page has received so much views and attention! Thanks for your support!

So as we know this is the month that we commemorate the death, burial and resurrection of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ! We think about the love that kept Him on the cross for you and me. So for the month of April I am asking that we pray for three things:

1) Patience so that we can wait on God's timing.

"But if we hope for what we do not see, we wait for it with patience."  Romans 8:25 (ESV)

2) The love of God. Christ died just for me and you because of love, let's pray to be His hands extended and show that love each and every day!

"But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us." Romans 5:8 (KJV)

3) A spirit of gratefulness. There are so many people who are in need and may have lost so much and we have all that we need and are still complaining and not grateful to God for His many blessings! Our worse day is someones best day! Thank and Praise God for all He has done, is doing and is about to do.

"Give thanks in all circumstances; for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus." 1 Thessalonians 5:18 (NIV)

Remember that prayer is how we communicate with God, so let's continue to pray!

God bless you this blessed Easter Sunday! He is alive forever more!

  1. Thank you for allowing me to share my testimony. I pray that it encourages others to see their singleness as a time to grow closer to God through Jesus and to use that time to advance the Kingdom, which is for all eternity! Blessings to you, and may God continue to use you to edify others.

The Modesty Survey III

  1)     Standards can vary for different occasions. (e.g., a formal spaghetti strap dress at a wedding is more modest than a spaghetti strap top at the movie theater). Age Comments 15 Occasion is the wrong word, setting is a better word. In the living room of your own house, without any guests, sisters could probably wear almost any thing without being immodest, although their actions will still have to be modest. Outside of the home I don't think there should be a difference of standards. 18 I have questions about this. I personally have been bothered by some of the wedding dresses I've seen recently. I think I will encourage my future fiancĂ©e to choose a dress that is beyond reproach, with no possibility of causing someone to stumble. ...

The Modesty Survey I

In doing research for the topic of modesty, I stumbled across this very controversial survey, The Modesty Survey. The Modesty Survey is an anonymous discussion between Christian guys and girls on the topic of modesty. Apparently hundreds of Christian girls contributed to the 148-question survey and over 1,600 Christian guys submitted 150,000+ answers, including 25,000 text responses, over a 20-day period in the year of 2007. Usually you would think this is a dream come true for Christian women to be able to pick a Christian man’s brain on such a controversial issue. Initially in 2007 it was a hit and now the women who had contributed along with other men who had participated in the survey now feel that it was the worst thing that they could have done. After reading the views of both parties, I want to encourage you to read the points of view and form your own personal opinion of the survey. The links posted below are from one of the females and one of the males that took part in con...

31 Days of Praying for Your Future Husband.....Day #1

Hey ladies, I hope you all are enjoying the new year so far, but I came across a post on a group encouraging singles to pray for the month of January for their future spouse. Then after a little research I came across this "31 Days of Prayer for your Husband" by Nancy Leigh DeMoss. It just dropped in my spirit that why can't we pray these things for our future spouses, we may not know who they are, or when God is going to send them, but as wives to be we can bless our future husbands by praying for them. This will enable us to be the godly wives God has called us to be.  Earnest prayer for your future husband is good for him, for you and the spiritual health of your future home (Proverbs 31:11-12).  Satan desires to destroy your  future husband, especially his character and his leadership in your upcoming relationship. Trust God through prayer as you daily surrender your husband to be and  future marriage to the Lord’s wise, loving care. So let's commit to this...
