Prayers for the Month of June

Happy June ladies!

We are at the midpoint of the year! Thank God for sparing our lives to make it this far! We know that prayer is the way that we communicate with God and we know that prayer changes things! Mark 11:24 (NIV) says, "Therefore I tell you, whatever you ask for in prayer, believe that you have received it, and it will be yours." So there are a few things the spirit has laid on my heart that I think we should pray on this month!

1) Pray against the spirit of jealousy and envy. Lately there has been so many of my friends and colleagues getting engaged and married and here I am still single, and waiting and sometimes you may envy their relationships. Remember that it will happen in God's time and not ours! Solomon said in Proverbs 14:30 (KJV), "A tranquil heart gives life to the flesh, but envy makes the bones rot." So let's preserve our bones and be happy for our friends and colleagues as they embark on important journeys knowing that God has the plan of our lives in His hand!

2) Pray for the spirit of love! To love everyone with God's love! 1 Peter 4:8 (NIV)  says, "Above all, love each other deeply, because love covers over a multitude of sins." Also Apostle John encourages us in 1 John 4:7-8 (NIV), "Dear friends, let us love one another, for love comes from God. Everyone who loves has been born of God and knows God. Whoever does not love does not know God, because God is love."

3) Pray for unity in the body of Christ. I have been noticing a lot of division and this is not of God. Paul encourages us in 1 Corinthians  1:10 (NIV), "I appeal to you, brothers, in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, that all of you agree with one another so that there may be no divisions among you and that you may be perfectly united in mind and thought." We are all trying to get to the same place, heaven. So let's not bring our brothers and sisters down, but lift them up and encourage them!

Let's continue to pray because Christ is coming soon!

Love you all,

Raven

The Modesty Survey III

  1)     Standards can vary for different occasions. (e.g., a formal spaghetti strap dress at a wedding is more modest than a spaghetti strap top at the movie theater). Age Comments 15 Occasion is the wrong word, setting is a better word. In the living room of your own house, without any guests, sisters could probably wear almost any thing without being immodest, although their actions will still have to be modest. Outside of the home I don't think there should be a difference of standards. 18 I have questions about this. I personally have been bothered by some of the wedding dresses I've seen recently. I think I will encourage my future fiancĂ©e to choose a dress that is beyond reproach, with no possibility of causing someone to stumble. ...

Prayers For The Month of November

Happy November! I know I have been gone for a while. School has been so hectic this semester, but I have still been praying for you all and I am so happy God has used me to touch so many people out there to keep them encouraged while they are in they waiting period! This year has gone by so quickly....we are in November already and next month it will be Christmas time. For this month God has laid on my heart that we should pray for three things: 1) A hunger, thirst and desire for the things of God!  " As the deer  pants for streams of water,  so my soul pants  for you, my God. " Psalms 42:1 (NIV) 2) To trust in Him fully, surrendering all to Him, withholding nothing!  " Trust in the  Lord  with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding.  In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths." Proverbs 3:5-6 (KJV) 3) To increase our faith! " But without faith it is impossible to please him: for h...

Prayers For The Month of April

Happy April! I am so sorry I have been away for a while, but I am back by the grace of God. School got extremely hectic, but my thoughts and prayers were always with you! It's amazing how the page has received so much views and attention! Thanks for your support! So as we know this is the month that we commemorate the death, burial and resurrection of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ! We think about the love that kept Him on the cross for you and me. So for the month of April I am asking that we pray for three things: 1) Patience so that we can wait on God's timing. " But if we hope for what we do not see, we wait for it with patience."   Romans 8:25 (ESV) 2) The love of God. Christ died just for me and you because of love, let's pray to be His hands extended and show that love each and every day! " But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us. " Romans 5:8 (KJV) 3) A spirit of gratef...
