Prayers For The Month of November

Image result for happy november

Good morning to all,

Sorry I have been away for a while but I am back! I pray that September and October have been good months to you. This is the month of Thanksgiving as many tend to call it. We have so much to give God thanks for. Just being alive is a blessing!

For the month of November I want us to concentrate on corporate prayer. You may ask well what is she talking about? Corporate prayer doesn't need to be a gathering of saints praying together. No, corporate prayer is about you standing in the gap for someone. There are many prophets in the Bible who did this and we can look at the story of Habakkuk. He was one of the minor prophets in the Bible who had no sin, but prayed and begged and pleaded God for mercy, forgiveness and restoration on behalf of his people who were in exile in Babylon.

God dropped in my spirit that we need to take time to prayer for others and not just ourselves. I have been guilty of this as well. So this month let's prayer for our family members who may be in need, the country's government wherever you may live, the leaders of the church, the saints, people in need. There is so much to do in the vineyard for the Lord and let's take the focus off of ourselves this month and prayer for others! Let's PUSH- Pray Until Something Happens

I pray this month is a blessing to you as you reflect on all God has done for you as the ending of the year draws nigh!

God Bless You,
Raven

The Modesty Survey III

  1)     Standards can vary for different occasions. (e.g., a formal spaghetti strap dress at a wedding is more modest than a spaghetti strap top at the movie theater). Age Comments 15 Occasion is the wrong word, setting is a better word. In the living room of your own house, without any guests, sisters could probably wear almost any thing without being immodest, although their actions will still have to be modest. Outside of the home I don't think there should be a difference of standards. 18 I have questions about this. I personally have been bothered by some of the wedding dresses I've seen recently. I think I will encourage my future fiancĂ©e to choose a dress that is beyond reproach, with no possibility of causing someone to stumble. ...

The Modesty Survey I

In doing research for the topic of modesty, I stumbled across this very controversial survey, The Modesty Survey. The Modesty Survey is an anonymous discussion between Christian guys and girls on the topic of modesty. Apparently hundreds of Christian girls contributed to the 148-question survey and over 1,600 Christian guys submitted 150,000+ answers, including 25,000 text responses, over a 20-day period in the year of 2007. Usually you would think this is a dream come true for Christian women to be able to pick a Christian man’s brain on such a controversial issue. Initially in 2007 it was a hit and now the women who had contributed along with other men who had participated in the survey now feel that it was the worst thing that they could have done. After reading the views of both parties, I want to encourage you to read the points of view and form your own personal opinion of the survey. The links posted below are from one of the females and one of the males that took part in con...

31 Days of Praying for Your Future Husband.....Day #1

Hey ladies, I hope you all are enjoying the new year so far, but I came across a post on a group encouraging singles to pray for the month of January for their future spouse. Then after a little research I came across this "31 Days of Prayer for your Husband" by Nancy Leigh DeMoss. It just dropped in my spirit that why can't we pray these things for our future spouses, we may not know who they are, or when God is going to send them, but as wives to be we can bless our future husbands by praying for them. This will enable us to be the godly wives God has called us to be.  Earnest prayer for your future husband is good for him, for you and the spiritual health of your future home (Proverbs 31:11-12).  Satan desires to destroy your  future husband, especially his character and his leadership in your upcoming relationship. Trust God through prayer as you daily surrender your husband to be and  future marriage to the Lord’s wise, loving care. So let's commit to this...
